Skeleton Crates – these are simple slat crates that are usually made for marble and glass tops and other flat items. These can be made to accommodate weights up to a couple hundred pounds. Skelton crates are built with 1×4 boards and have interior packing which consists of foam and cardboard with wooden braces that are screwed in to keep items secure while in transit.
Domestic One Way Crate – these are full sided boxes built out of plywood and half batons with 1×4 lumber. These are sturdy and cost effective crates. They do not have corners, handles, or skids that take more time to build and money to make. That is the biggest difference between one way and round trip crates.
Round Trip Crates – these crates are designed and built with the purpose of being used many times over. Every crate that we make Is customized to fit the specific piece precisely. We use only Museum quality foam padding to ensure safe travel while in transport. Round trip crates can be used for years to come to protect your crates.
Museum Quality Crates – these are the highest quality crates available. Each crate is designed on an individual basis with absolute maximum protection in mind. Whether it is just a single piece or an entire exhibit of priceless artifacts, these crates offer maximum protection. MDO plywood is used and the crates have full batons, handles, corners, skids, cam locks or bolt plates. Options include double crating or adding a travel frame which essentially crates the piece twice. The interior walls are constructed with water proofing protection.
We carefully customize each crate to protect and insure the greatest amount of longevity for each item that we handle.
